Swifts Blown Away: Stourport Swifts 0-8 Harriers
Joe Ironside scored four times as Harriers steamrollered their local neighbours to record their first win of pre-season.
Harriers included just two trialists in their starting line-up, the rest being first team squad players, but they took just a single goal lead into the break, that coming after nine minutes when Ironside headed in James McQuilkin's cross. the gulf in quality, though, was apparent as the home side spent the whole of the half on the back foot and didn't Harriers' trialist goalkeeper.
There was a farcical start to the second half as Stourport intended to introduce Harriers youngster Tom Palmer in goal but as his name hadn't been given to the referee before the game the official refused to let him take part and Swifts' Callum Grant had to be forced back into action.
The Swifts' keeper was troubled with injury and didn't move as Ryan Croasdale rifled in Harriers second early in the half. Harriers then proceeded to take complete control of the game with Ironside adding two more in quick succession to complete his hat-trick.
Sam Austin got in on the act midway through the half to make it 5-0 and in the closing minutes Harriers were able to score almost at will with Andre Brown finally getting on the scoresheet after missing a number of chances and Liam Truslove adding the seventh before Ironside completed the rout with his fourth of the afternoon in stoppage time.
