Youngsters In Damp Stalemate: Pershore Town 0-0 Harriers U23
Harriers sent a young side to face Pershore and were held to a goalless draw in unseasonably wet conditions.
Rain throughout most of the game made life difficult for both teams but Mark Yates's Under-23s were in control for most of the game.
Alongside a handful of trialists some of the new Harriers youngsters showed promise, most notable central defender Cameron Howkins - younger brother of former Harrier Kyle - who looked calm and composed when defending and comfortable on the ball. The closest that Harriers came to opening the scoring saw a trialist, who had scored earlier in the week at Redditch in the Worcestershire Senior Cup, fire a shot against the post.
Harriers had all of the chances after the break but couldn't find a way past Pershore goalkeeper Chris Rich; the home side themselves didn't once threaten the Harriers goal in the second half not managing a single shot at goal.
