No Goals In Boxing Day Derby: AFC Telford United 0-0 Harriers
Harriers stretched their unbeaten run to ten games with a goalless draw in the local derby at The New Buck's Head.
John Eustace made two change to the side that had beaten Nuneaton Town last time out, bringing back Jimmy O'Connor and Andre Brown in place of the injured Tyrone Williams and Declan Weeks.
Heavy rain over night had made the pitch extremely boggy in places, leaving standing water in several areas that made conditions difficult for both teams and reduced good football to a minimum.
Harriers had the best of possession and created more goalscoring chances; former Harrier Jasbir Singh in the United goal had to save from Manny Sonupe and pushed a free-kick from James McQuilkin over the bar for a corner in the first half.
After the break Harriers could have taken an early lead when Elton Ngwatala got to the byline on the left and pulled the ball back to the near post where Brown should have done better but Singh got a hand to his effort and his defenders were able to scramble the ball away.
Just past the hour mark Telford had their best chance of the game to break the deadlock when Jordan Hussey's cross from the right found Marcus Dinanga but his glancing header went over the bar.
Harriers' best opportunities to take the game came from set pieces in the final stages of the match; a McQuilkin corner from the left found Liam Truslove but he fired over the bar and with a few minutes to go another McQuilkin corner, this time from the left, saw Brown head wide of the far post.
