FA Trophy Preview: Stockport County v Harriers
A trip to Maidenhead United awaits the winners of the tonight's FA Trophy replay as Harriers and Stockport try again at Edgeley Park.
Should Harriers make it through it would be a first-ever visit to the National League side's York Road ground. The full draw for the Third Round is as follows:
- St Albans City or Harrogate Town v Billericay Town
- Maidstone United v Gateshead or Boreham Wood
- Maidenhead United v Kidderminster Harriers or Stockport County
- Wealdstone v Ebbsfleet United or Warrington Town
- Brackley Town or Barrow v Sutton United
- Dover Athetic v Leyton Orient
- Spennymoor Town v East Thurrock United
- Weston-super-Mare or Workington v Bromley
Harriers could name an unchanged side; Tyrone Williams was left out at the weekend because he was in talks with another club about a potential transfer and would have unavailable tonight anyway as he begins a four-game ban following his sending-off at Chorley last week but has today completed that move to Solihull Moors. Fraser Horsfall is OK to play, though, as his suspension from Saturday's game, just a one-game ban, will not come into effect until Saturday's trip to Curzon Ashton.
I expect Harriers to line-up as follows (4-3-3): Hall; Vaughan, Pearson, O'Connor, Horsfall; Croasdale, McQuilkin, Ngwatala; Austin, Ironside, Bradley.
Subs (from): A. Brown, Palmer, Sonupe, Taylor, Truslove, Wright.
Missing (injured): Weeks.
Missing (on-loan): J. Brown, Digie.
Missing (dual-reg.): Finch, Webb.
Refereeing the game tonight will be Danny Middleton from Derbyshire. This will be his third time in charge of a Harriers First Team game: last season he did the home defeat to FC United and this season's FA Cup exit at Fylde. He has also overseen an Under-19s game at Ilkeston that ended all-square.
Tonight's weather forecast suggests that kick-off time will see temperatures around 2°C and snow.
