Preview: Spennymoor v Harriers
Harriers can strengthen their hold on fourth place this evening when they travel to face play-off rivals Spennymoor Town.
As a result of the effects of the weather on Spennymoor's pitch which has left them still to play six games in eleven days this evening's game will be played at Harrogate Town's Wetherby Road ground, the artificial surface there should play into Harriers' hands and suit their style of play.
Lee Vaughan returns to the side after suspension and should come straight back into the team with Saturday's stand-in Kennedy Digie dropping back down to the bench. Dan Bradley was left out of Saturday's win over Tamworth with injury while Joel Taylor was again ill, both players will need to be assessed before they can take part tonight.
Spennymoor have had a generally good season and have been in and around the play-off places all the way through but their inability to get home games played recently and their fixture pile-up as seen them win just three of their last ten games. They have not found the net in the last two games, both of which have been 'home' games played at Harrogate.
Earlier in the season goals from James McQuilkin and Andre Brown earned Harriers a share of the points in a 2-2 draw, the only other time that the clubs have met.
I expect Harriers to line-up as follows (4-3-3): Hall; L. Vaughan, Austin, O'Connor, Horsfall; Weeks, McQuilkin, Croasdale; Sonupé, Ironside, Ngwatala.
Subs (from): A. Brown, Digie, Palmer, Pearson, Truslove, N. Vaughan, Waring.
Missing (injured): Bradley, Taylor.
Missing (dual-reg): Finch, Webb.
Refereeing the game tonight will be John Matthews from Durham. This will be his second Harriers game; earlier in the season he did the 1-1 draw at Bradford Park Avenue.
This evening's weather is forecast to be cloudy with a 5% chance of rain and a temperature of 14°C.
