Preview: Harriers v Brackley Town

Harriers will look for a quick response to Saturday's defeat by Alfreton Town when Brackley Town are the visitors to Aggborough this evening.

A team without a home win takes on a team without an away win so a draw is on the cards, although the bookies have that as the least likely outcome with Harriers as slight favourites to win.

Harriers could have Declan Weeks back in contention after missing the last couple of games with injury although he won't be rushed back unnecessarily.  Loanee Ollie Shenton could come in for his first start after impressing from the bench in a brief cameo on Saturday; if that were to happen Alex Prosser would be the most likely to step down from the starting line-up.  Prosser is the one player in the Harriers squad who has seen time with tonight's visitors.

Brackley have had a mixed start to the season; on Opening Day they beat Alfreton 1-0 but then went three without a win.  They have followed up with two wins and a draw but have yet to taste victory on the road and last time out were beaten 2-0 at Gateshead.  Brackley have former Harriers in their squad in the shape of Danny Lewis and Kelvin Langmead as well as one-time trialist Connor Franklin.

Last season two goals from Ashley Chambers gave Harriers a 2-0 victory in the corresponding fixture.  Overall Brackley have the upper hand with four wins to two from the six games played.

I expect Harriers to line-up as follows (5-3-2): Gregory; Austin, Davidson, Moyo, R. Williams, Johnson; Butterfield, E. Williams, Shenton; Chambers, Peniket.
Subs (from): Freemantle, Higginson, D. Lowth, Palmer, Prosser, Scott, Sharman, White
Missing (injured): Taylor-Randle, Weeks.

The man-in-the-middle this evening will be Dale Baines from Liverpool who will be taking charge of a Harries game for the first time.

This evening's weather is forecast to be cloudy with a temperature of 18°C and a 5% chance of rain.
