Preview: Hereford v Harriers
Harriers have the chance to record their first league double of the season this afternoon when they visit Edgar Street.
Having won the first meeting between the clubs just last week Harriers will be looking to bounce back from the disappointing defeat at Brackley at the weekend by taking the derby. A victory today could lift Harriers back up to 12th; Saturday's defeat knocked them back down the table when they had been hoping to get into the top half.
Jimmy Shan may make changes to the team; Rhys Williams and Will Mannion both have their loans end in 'early January' and may not be available while Ollie Shenton picked up a knock at Brackley and was substituted. Both Richard Peniket and Ed Williams have recovered from injury and featured from the bench in the last two games and may return to the starting line-up if the boss decides to freshen things up.
Hereford lost again at the weekend, defeated at home 2-1 by Leamington, and are now 11 games without a win in the league - 15 when FA Cup and Trophy games are added in. They have injury doubts about Victor Sodeinde and Jordan Nicholson who both picked up knocks in that Leamington defeat and will be assessed before the game. Former Harrier Reece Styche who was subbed at Aggborough could return to the side if Sodeinde doesn't make it.
I expect Harriers to line-up as follows (5-2-2-1): Mannion; Austin, Davidson, R. Williams, Moyo, Johnson; Butterfield, Prosser; Hemmings, E. Williams; Peniket.
Subs (from): Digie, Freemantle, Higginson, Neligwa, Palmer, Scott, Shenton, Taylor-Randle
Missing (injured): Chambers, Weeks.
Missing (on-loan): Diau, White.
Today's referee is Dean Watson from Lancashire. This will be his fourth time in charge of Harriers; having overseen two home wins and an away defeat in the last two seasons.
Weather this afternoon is forecast to be mostly cloudy with a temperature around 7°C and no chance of rain.
