Match Report by St@tto

Harriers were moments away from seeing their play-off hopes given a serious setback but Adam Bartlett came to the rescue and saved a stoppage time penalty to ensure they came away from the game with a point.

Unchanged from the side that had started the abandoned game at Woking in midweek Harriers enjoyed the majority of the play during a dour game and in general looked the most likely to win the game.  Things may have turned out differently had they taken the lead when Matt Barnes-Homer's 20-yard effort not flown narrowly wide of James Bittner's right-hand post inside the first ten seconds of the game.

Harriers dominated possession for the next 25 minutes but the game was scrappy and had little action around either goalmouth.  Barnes-Homer, looking to continue his recent run of six goals in six games, went close again twice in the closing minutes of the half; first heading wide of the far post from Darryl Knights' right-wing cross and then seeing his looping header from Chris McPhee's cross from the opposite flank held by Bittner.

After the break the game followed a similar pattern with Harriers having most of the possession, although the home side had their best spell midway through the period, but neither side really looking like they were going to make the breakthrough.  Harriers' subs Justin Richards and Brian Smikle had good chances; Richards' was the best, a 20-yard free-kick that beat the wall but was easy for Bittner to gather in.

With the game looking set for a draw as it headed into stoppage time City were handed a golden opportunity to take all three points when Charles Ademeno was brought down in the penalty area.  Bartlett guessed correctly, however,  and dived to his right to save Matt Tubbs' spot-kick.
