Match Report by St@tto

Harriers turned in another disappointing performance and slipped to another defeat at Sincil Bank.

The slump in Harriers' form sees their current run stand at five games without a win, with just one draw in those five games.

The wind came into play again to spoil the game but this time nowhere nearly as badly as it had in the previous game at Gateshead.  Certainly it wasn't bad enough for Harriers to use as an excuse for their poor performance.

Marvin Johnson came into the starting line-up following his goalscoring appearance at Gateshead while Nathan Vaughan and Chey Dunkley came in for the injured Danny Lewis and Danny Jackman.  Harriers suffered an early blow when Michael Gash was forced to limp out of the game after just eight minutes with a hamstring injury.

Lincoln took the lead on 19 minutes; Delano Sam-Yorke got free on the right before crossing low to the far post where Ben Tomlinson was left with an easy close-range tap-in.  Josh Gowling went close to an equaliser just past the half-hour when he headed over from Kyle Storer's free-kick.

Harriers' best chance of the game fell to Dunkley shortly after the interval but his header from Mickey Demetriou's long throw was tipped over the bar by City's debutant keeper Nick Townsend.  Just before the hour Lee Vaughan had his name taken by referee Ben Toner taking him to ten yellow cards for the season meanting that he will miss the next two games.

Sam-Yorke was the architect for Lincoln's second goal on 77 minutes making a strong run through the inside-right channel, turning his marker inside-out, before pulling the ball back to Tomlinson whose shot took a deflection on its way past Nathan Vaughan.

In the final ten minutes with a long ball over the inside-left channel Demetriou created an opening for substitute Santiago Aloi but he fired well wide across the face of goal.
