Match Report by St@tto

James McQuilkin's third goal in two games saved a point for Harriers but it was still two points dropped in their fight against relegation.

An often dour game seemed to be slipping away from Harriers after sloppy defending had gifted the out-of-form Cards the lead in the first half but McQuilkin popped up with little over ten minutes left to get Harriers out of jail.

McQuilkin's two-goal performance last time out at Lincoln earned him a place in the starting line-up at the expense of Evan Garnett, while Elton Ngwatala returned from injury to take a place amongst the substitutes.

The home side took the lead in the 14th minute when Chris Arthur's cross from the left was knocked back across goal by Kieran Murtagh to Danny Carr who had been left completely unmarked and was able to stroke a low shot past Max O'Leary in the Harriers goal.

Carr should have doubled the advantage moments later when he got on the end of Jake Caprice's cross from hte right but managed to steer the ball wide of the near post when it seemed to be easier to score.

Towards the end of the first half Harriers were dealt another blow when Arthur Gnahoua limped out of the action with a knock to his already injured ankle, Garnett coming on to replace him.

After the interval Harriers stepped up their play and enjoyed plenty of possession without really testing Jake Cole in the Woking goal.  Most of Harriers' best chances fell to Ben Whitfield but Cole was in good form to keep him at bay; on 73 minutes he was in the way after Lewis Kinsella's free-kick was knocked down by Keith Lowe to Whitfield in the penalty area and then shortly afterwards he stood up well when Whitfield was put through on goal one-on-one.

Whitfield turned creator as Harriers finally drew level in the 80th minute; his strong un on the right left his marker for dead, he pulled the ball back towards Garnett but a solid block from s defender sent it spinning out of the penalty area towards McQuilkin 25 yards who first time shot curled just inside Cole's left-hand post.

Harriers had chances to go on and win the game, Whitfield again having an effort blocked and with the last kick of the game McQuilkin sent a free-kick over the bar.
